New Product Focus: R500NGi Intelligent AIS Receiver with WiFi
Comar are pleased to introduce the third of our new products; the R500NGi, our top of the range AIS receiver designed for coastal monitoring applications, capable of filtering and processing AIS data and forwarding it across a network. Quite possibly the most flexible and powerful AIS receiver available on the market.
- Our top of the range network AIS and GPS receiver.
- Combined AIS and GPS data stream for display on installed chart plotter software or to be passed on over the network to a remote location.
- Capable of logging data on the internal SD card, in case no network is available, for later transfer.
- Flexible platform to cover a variety of customer requirements
Units have an ARMv8 microcomputer at their core, enabling networking via Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
Can be connected to a standard monitor/TV or laptop via the built in HDMI connection and are compatible with many software chart plotters e.g. OpenCPN making a cost-effective alternative to a traditional receiver + hardware plotter solution.
The units can be supplied without preinstalled OS as a development platform for the customer to configure and calibrate for their own unique requirements, alternatively a standard OS set-up or a bespoke data management solution for more complex requirements can be supplied.
