How can I connect my AIS device to my computer via USB?

When trying to connect your USB compatible AIS device to a computer or laptop you will need to also install the USB drivers so that your operating system will recognise your device.

If this does not resolve your connectivity issues, the next step is to configure the USB port you are trying to connect to. Make sure the port is set as a generic USB and that it is set to power the USB port you are using, Windows 10 powers off USB ports to save power and sometimes this does not work as expected.
