OVERVIEW
The Comar R550NGi is an AIS & GNSS receiver (Supporting GPS & GLONASS) interfaced to an ARMv8 microcomputer. Designed for coastal monitoring applications, the R550NGi is capable of filtering and processing AIS and GNSS data and forwarding it across a network. Multiple R550 Series units can be deployed to form a complete networked monitoring solution for ports and their approaches.
The unit features both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, along with two USB-A host ports and an HDMI connector for direct display output. Unlike conventional receivers, the R550NGi can be deployed within any AIS network using proprietary software specific to that network.
Designed for commercial applications, the R550NGi incorporates Comar’s proven high-sensitivity dual-channel parallel AIS receiver alongside a commercial-grade GNSS receiver.
